NO ONE LISTENS TO USVenezuela’s oil production stood at 3.2 million barrels a day 10 years ago, it’s now down to less than one million. Lake Maracaibo has been badly affected. Yurasi Briceno, a biologist at Venezuela’s scientific research institute, is studying fauna in the northern part of the lake.
