LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. — A museum that presents a chronological walk through Lake County history opens Saturday in Libertyville, north of Chicago. The (Arlington Heights) Daily Herald reports that the Bess Bower Dunn Museum is a $1.6 million retrofit of a corporate office space. It features a 20-foot-long model of a Dryptosaurus dinosaur thought to have lived in Lake County millions of years ago. The museum opens 18 months after the Lake County Forest Preserve District closed, dismantled and repurposed its Discovery Museum in Wauconda. ——Information from: Daily Herald, http://www.dailyherald.com
