One book at a time or simultaneously? I interact with a paper book in many different ways; I’ve been known to throw a book across the room when it frustrates or angers me, for example. I’m constantly shifting books on the living room shelves to make room for new novels. What’s the best book you’ve ever received as a gift? A first edition of “Les Malheurs de Sophie,” which my husband gave me as a birthday gift some years ago.
