PHOTO: MOSE SAMMY/STANDARDThe Political Parties Disputes Tribunal will rule on a Laikipia gubernatorial nomination stalemate. Governor Joshua Irungu had challenged a ruling by Jubilee’s Appeals Tribunal that declared former Laikipia West MP Ndiritu Muriithi the winner. JP’s tribunal had nullified Irungu’s victory after rejecting the results from Laikipia North constituency following a successful petition by Muriithi. The panel also directed the party to address the complaints of one aspirant, Eric Mutua. The governor had obtained an interim injunction prohibiting ODM and the MP from presenting a nomination certificate to the IEBC.
