Lahore to be Pakistan’s first smart city


Share:LAHORE - On directions of the Punjab chief minister, significant progress has been made in making Lahore the first smart city of Pakistan. In the first phase, Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) in collaboration with Nokia will launch Smart City Pilot Project at Lahore’s MM Alam Road and Liberty Market. PSCA Chief Operating Officer DIG Kamran Khan chaired the meeting and briefed the participants about the smart city project. It was briefed in the meeting that the Smart City pilot project would automate smart streetlights and smart waste management bins. On the occasion, Chief Operating Officer Kamran Khan said that the Lahore Smart City project would be the first of its kind in Pakistan.
