Lagos received 1,000 land-grabbing petitions in one year – Commissioner


The attorney general said the petitions were submitted to the state’s Special Task Force Against Land Grabbers, which has been able to resolve 350 of the cases. He said at the moment the state was dealing with over 600 land-grabbing cases, which were at various stages of resolution. Onigbanjo said Lagos would spare no efforts in the arrest and prosecution of land-grabbers, adding that the Special Task Force Against Land Grabbers would continue to be strengthened. The attorney general said this at Alausa, Ikeja during the ministerial press briefing to mark the first anniversary of the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration. He said, “The task force with five counsel received 1,000 petitions out of which 350 have so far been resolved, while over 600 are pending and are at various stages of resolution.
