A mob at Jakande Estate, Isolo area of Lagos State, have reportedly set over 20 commercial motorcycles, popularly called okada, ablaze after an accident which killed a pedestrian. Confirming the incident in a statement on Thursday, the Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the pedestrian died on the spot. Hundeyin stated that the death of the pedestrian led an angry mob in the area to set motorcycles which belonged to fleeing riders ablaze after the police rescued the suspect from being lynched.
