Akinpelu DadaThe Lagos State Waterways Authority says it has so far recovered 12 bodies of victims of the boat accident at Egbin in the Ijede area of Ikorodu. The General Manager, LASWA, Mr Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, confirmed the number of the corpses so far recovered on Tuesday, adding that five more bodies had yet to be recovered. He said LASWA, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the Lagos State Ambulance Service and the Nigeria Police Force had intensified efforts to recover the remaining bodies. The boat had left a jetty at Badore, Ajah and was conveying the passengers to Egbin. It was gathered that there were no life jackets in the boat for the use of the passengers.
