Road users in the Eti-Osa area of the state were held up Thursday in a traffic jam that lasted hours, as residents protested and refused to pay the new fees. The traffic gridlock spread to many parts of Lagos Island. The Elders stated that by now the concession company should have recovered its investment. Meanwhile, the council has drawn the attention of the Lagos State Government to heavy trucks parked on the Ikoyi-link Bridge. It described the development as posing a risk to residents and the longevity of the bridge.
