THE Chief Whip of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Abiru has commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the proposed ban on the Almajiri system of education in the northern part of the country, saying it was the time the country made it a serious offence for any parent or guardian to deny any child primary and secondary education as no nation can develop without education. Abiru representing Shomolu Constituency 2 at the State Assembly, gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen in his office, even as he urged the affected state governors to implement this policy in their various states for the nation to take its pride of place amongst educationally developed nations of the world. “No nation develops without education. The Lagos State House of Assembly Chief Whip stressed that education was inevitable for any child, pointing out that any responsible government must ensure that education got its priority place for development in any society.
