Under the ‘Accelerating Green Mobility’ strategy, Lafarge Africa is aiming to substantially reduce the carbon footprint within its supply chain, the company said in a statement. The Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Africa Plc, Lolu Alade-Akinyemi spoke at the EV truck launch in the company’s Ewekoro factory, celebrating a significant milestone in their sustainability journey. The CEO said the introduction of Nigeria’s first heavy goods electric vehicle truck demonstrates Lafarge’s dedication to innovation and environmentally responsible practices. He remarked that the EV truck offers quieter, smoother, and safer operations, enhancing efficiency and customer experience while contributing to a healthier planet.
