A woman traffic police constable was allegedly hit on the hand, while a team member was slapped twice by two men, including a garage owner, on Sunday while towing illegally parked vehicles on a road in Mahim. The Mahim police said the traffic police division had been receiving complaints from MP Husain Dalwai about illegally parked vehicles in front of Paradise Cinema on Kapad Bazaar Road. Acting on the complaint, traffic constable Rita Jadhav, 49, was sent to the spot in the afternoon with a towing van. She, along with another team member, Mohammad Shaikh, towed one vehicle and were towing a second, which was illegally parked in front of Salim Scooter Works garage. Mustaq tried to stop the team when they were towing the vehicle.
