Lady Gaga has been hospitalized for "severe pain," according to a short statement by the US pop star on Thursday. "I was taken to the hospital its not simply hip pain or wear and tear from tour, I'm in severe pain," the 31-year-old singer wrote on Twitter. Gaga, who was scheduled to perform at a concert in Rio de Janeiro on Friday, cancelled the show saying that she was "devastated" that she was not well enough to take part. Gaga mentioned a week ago that she was about to take a break. So far, only the Rio de Janeiro show has been cancelled.
