Lacson Friday lamented the death of a three-year-old girl in an anti-illegal drugs police drug operation, stressing that “one innocent life lost is one life too many.”Lacson stressed that it was not every day that an innocent civilian, much less a three-year-old child, is caught in the crossfire between law enforcement and criminal elements. ‘’Incidents like this should be taken seriously so that corrective measures will be put in place immediately and those responsible must at least be investigated to determine possible lapses or lack of discretion,’’ he said. ‘’ Nonchalance has no place in this situation,’’ Lacson said in an apparent dig at a comment made by neophyte Senator Roland dela Rosa, who, like him is a former Philippine National Police chief, that ‘’shit happens’’ during police anti-drug operations.
