At 10 a.m, the team members had left Dharmapuri by bus and reached Pennagaram at noon. The police brought the members along with the child to the Pennagaram bus stand, and put them on a bus to Dharmapuri. The two workers and the girl reached Dharmapuri. The Childline staff and the girl had to take a bus, which, however, was intercepted by the girl's relatives who took her away. The lack of safe and swift transport took away from the Childline staff their painstaking effort to rescue a girl from child marriage.
