With concerns being raised about the depleting tree cover, the civic body plans to appoint two tree wardens per ward. “This defeats the purpose of lake wardens who are supposed to be impartial observers. However, the BBMP has announced that it will appoint tree wardens and clean-up marshals without forming ward committees.
