Failure to make food systems more resilient to climate change will hurt production in many regions, FAO director general José Graziano da Silva said yesterday. He said this will affect international efforts to end hunger and extreme poverty by 2030. The director general spoke at the World Government Summit in Dubai during a round-table discussions on climate change. He said there is need to support small-holder farmers in the developing world to enable them adapt to climate change. Da Silva said there are innovative approaches that can help farmers improve yield.
