There's a certain amusement to this announcement today, Labour's new plan for Brexit. For that's what staying in the Single Market, as proposed, means. Labour would keep the UK in the EU single market and customs union for a transitional period after leaving the EU, the party has said. So, the bold Brexit plan is to not have Brexit. Labour's bold new Brexit policy is really let's just delay it until we can have another election and thereby, maybe, reverse the Brexit decision itself.
