The new Labour-led government has been asked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the departure of John Prendergast from the Community Trust of Southland. A group of former CTOS trustees were outraged at how Prendergast was treated by the current trust, so asked then associate finance minister Amy Adams to investigate both the trust and its treatment of Prendergast. Her party lost the election, so the group of former trustees have now asked to meet with the Labour Party's finance minister Grant Robertson. Robertson, in his role of Labour finance spokesman before the election, also put pressure on Adams to investigate when asking her questions in the House.
