The labor group also pointed at the increase of penalties to up to P5 million saying it will deter employers from disregarding the law. According to the group, it took more than two decades since the first “End ENDO” Bill was filed before it finally got passed. The counterpart “End ENDO” Bill in the House of Representatives, HB 6908 sponsored by the TUCP Partylist and Akbayan, was passed in January 2018.
