La Presse, one of the oldest and largest newspapers in Canada, has announced it will go completely digital by 2018. After 133 years, the French-language daily will run its final print edition on Dec. 30, 2017 as the last step in its push to become an entirely online news source. La Presse has only published a Saturday newspaper since 2016 after it opted to cut its weekday print edition. La Presse will continue to publish articles on a daily basis, but content will be on its tablet edition, La Presse+. The move was part of the newspaper's long-term plan, which was to go entirely paperless in favour of its application.
