LTFRB summons taxi operator tagged in overcharging K-pop idol SoobinMANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday said that it issued a show cause order against the operator of the cab that tried to overcharge Korean singer Soobin. The alleged incident stemmed from Soobin’s vlog in Cebu, where the driver allegedly tried to raise the fare to P1,000, when the initial amount agreed upon was P500. The LTFRB has issued a show cause order against the operator of the taxi. The operator was also ordered to surrender the license plate of the taxi and the driver’s license of the driver. However, by the time they arrived at Soobin’s destination, the driver doubled the fare to P1,000.
