Martin Corrie, the LTA president, was at the time a member of the executive committee in the county LTA of Hertfordshire, where the alleged assault took place. In a statement the LTA said Corrie had “chosen to temporarily step aside from the duties of his role while the independent investigation is ongoing”. David Rawlinson, the organisation’s deputy president since January 2017, has taken over from Corrie as the acting president. The LTA said a new complaint was made to it in December, about the way in which the 2004 sexual assault allegation was handled by the then executive committee of Hertfordshire county LTA. We have also now commissioned a further independent investigation which is being carried out as swiftly as possible.
