It was reported that LSU is close to a deal with current Houston head coach Tom Herman to become the next head coach for LSU football. LSU had previously been reported to Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher, but it appears that Herman has emerged as the leading candidate. An ESPN report noted Fisher’s representatives told LSU he’d want $6.5 million a season to coach the Tigers. Tom Herman wants Texas. There is little doubt that Houston head coach Tom Herman is in high demand and it will be interesting to see what occurs after the Cougars complete their regular season next Friday against the Memphis.
