This weekend, Oct. 20 and 21, they present the eerily atmospheric cult favorite, 1962’s “Carnival of Souls,” directed by Herk Harvey and starring Candace Hilligoss. On the drive to her new position, she passes a mysterious deserted carnival pavilion to which she finds herself inexplicably drawn. As she is looking at the pavilion, Mary is startled by an ominous man looming in her path, nearly causing her to drive off the road. Unlike most of today’s horror movies, ‘Carnival of Souls’ has few special effects. So grab your candy corn and join LRPA after dark for this fan favorite classic from the past.
