MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) re-entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and developed into Tropical Depression “Goring” at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, the weather bureau reported. The LPA last spotted west of Luzon exited the PAR on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) earlier said. But at 7:00 a.m. Friday, the LPA re-entered the PAR and developed into “Goring” an hour after, according to the weather bureau. ADVERTISEMENTPagasa weather specialist Ariel Rojas said “Goring” was spotted 190 kilometers north-northwest of Basco, Batanes as of 10:00 a.m. The tropical depression is expected to exit the PAR later this evening or early Saturday according to Rojas.
