His cousin Sunil Paswan, who sustained injuries in the shootout, succumbed to his injuries after he was rushed to a hospital. Another LJP leader Brijnathi Singh was gunned down on the outskirts of Patna earlier this year. The killings, said to have been executed by the Maoists, had spread panic in the area.
