RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench on Wednesday issued notices to five Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) suspects who had been acquitted by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Benazir Bhutto murder case. According to details, PPP had filed three different appeals in LHC against the verdict of ATC announced on August 31. In the second appeal, the court had been called upon to change the sentence given to the police officers involved in the case. The appeal points out that punishment for murder in the law is a death sentence and therefore, the police officers should be given the same. The third appeal had asked the court to award death sentence to the five TTP suspects who had been acquitted by the ATC.
