MANILA, Philippines — The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center is urging local government units (LGUs) to build business cases for community projects that can be carried out with the private sector. “This will give the private sector a reliable reference in building their feasibility studies and takes out the guesswork on what are the government’s preferred parameters for their project. The PPP Center can provide local governments the technical assistance to strengthen their capacity in doing a detailed business case for their PPP projects. The agency is also streamlining the PPP process through the issuance of sectoral guidelines and contract templates. It announced recently that a facility for funding the preparation of regional PPP projects with climate resilience components is now being readied to build a robust pipeline of such infrastructure projects.
