The aircraft was on a regular, scheduled cargo service from Shanghai to Sao Paulo-Santiago via Addis Ababa when the incident occurred. The aircraft was on a regularly scheduled cargo service from Shanghai to Sao Paulo-Santiago via Addis Ababa. Ethiopian has collaborated with all concerned authorities and contained the fire.
