The Libyan Asset Recovery and Management Office (LARMO) has participated in the 20th General Assembly of the “CARIN” International Asset Recovery Network, held in Paris, with representatives from 61 countries and leading international experts in attendance. According to a statement on its official social media page, LARMO held key meetings on the sidelines of the event with officials from Ukraine, Portugal, Malta, France, South Africa, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The office highlighted its efforts to enhance international partnerships in the fight against money laundering and recovering misappropriated Libyan funds. LARMO also expressed its ambition to serve as CARIN’s regional office for North Africa in collaboration with the United Nations. The office emphasized that these initiatives aim to strengthen its data systems, broaden its access to global financial and legal networks, and improve collaboration with law enforcement agencies worldwide.
