The Chairman of the Libya Africa Investment Portfolio (LAIP), Mustafa Abu Funas, conducted a working visit to the YILDIRIM Group of Companies at the group’s headquarters in the Turkish city of Istanbul last Monday. Abu Funas met with Robert Yuksel YILDIRIM, President & CEO of the Group, in the presence of Emin Çakmak, President of the Union of Turkish Investors in Africa. African Finance Corporation (AFC) interested in financing projectsA delegation of senior officials from the African Finance Corporation (AFC), whose membership includes 40 African countries, also joined the meeting. They expressed their interest in cooperating with LAIP in financing investment projects in Libya and on the African continent. It is noteworthy that the Yildirim Group of Companies operates in 9 different sectors, including energy, minerals, port management, maritime shipping, and construction, in addition to finance and international trade, and is present in 56 countries, with 25,000 employees.
