Lahore Arts Council (LAC) on Monday organised a ceremony to mark World Teachers’ Day to pay tribute to all teachers in the province at Alhamra Arts Centre. The chief guests of the event were all teachers working at Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts. The programme was attended by all teachers and their students from the performing arts academy. She maintained that the purpose of this event was to remember the services of teachers. “Respect for the teachers was part of our culture as well.” She maintained that Alhamra was an institution where not only teachers were respected but it always remembered their services for society.
