L.A. River planners float three design proposals for a major new park


Taylor Yard, also known as the G2 parcel along the L.A. River, photographed in 2014. More important, three preliminary proposals for the overall park design were recently made public. "Island" takes inspiration from the naturally occurring sediment islands that form in the soft-bottom sections of the L.A. River. The "Soft Edge" design proposal for the L.A.
