Speaking to the Nation on phone, Ms Ireri said they and county officials were planning a joint press conference to officially call off their strike. "We were to strike on Monday but after consultations with county government officials, they agreed to honour the return-to-work formula," she said. SERVICESMr Tobias Onyango, Kwale branch secretary of the Kenya National Union of Nurses (Knun), said they were committed to delivering the best services. The nurses had demanded allowances including the annual Sh5,000 for uniforms and the monthly Sh3,000 for the nursing service.
