Asamoah is often branded as one of the players who plays well for their club side and yet fail to replicate those fine performances for the national team. He was expected to be the next big thing when he helped the Black Stars to the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola. But those expectations have hardly been met, with Asamoah going in and out of the Black Stars. A few months ago, Asamoah returned from one of his self-imposed exile from the national team but even that hasn’t seen him rediscover his old form.
