Kuwait: 625 stranded Egyptians fly home on 4 flights

CAIRO - 11 July 2020: Kuwait's Directorate of Civil Aviation on Saturday said 625 stranded Egyptians in the Gulf country flew home on four flights. Three flights carrying 480 Egyptian nationals left for Cairo, while one flight carrying 145 Egyptians headed to the governorate of Sohag, the directorate said in a statement received by MENA office in Kuwait. The flights are operated by the airlines of Kuwait Airways, Jazeera Airways and Air Arabia Egypt companies, the statement added. Egypt suspended international aviation on March 19 as a protective measure against COVID-19 repatriating - on exceptional flights - since then around 30,000 Egyptians stuck abroad. Later, authorities have been bringing home expats who lost their jobs, particularly in Gulf countries.
