Kuria mocks Azimio leaders as Saba Saba protests begin

Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has sarcastically wished Azimio leaders a happy Saba Saba day as they began nationwide protests over the high cost of living. The protests called by Raila Odinga aim at boycotting President William Ruto’s regime, its policies and taxes. He rallied troops to converge at Kamukunji Grounds, saying that he would formalize where subsequent rallies would be held countrywide. But on Thursday night, Kuria mocked the Azimio bigwigs as he reminded them of their ages when the struggle for multi-party democracy began in early 1990. "Happy Saba Saba Day to my fellow young turks Raila Odinga, 45 years then now 78, James Orengo 39 years now 72, Martha Karua 32 years now 65, Anyang Nyongo 45 years now 77 and Babu Owino, 1 year now 33.
