Being declared a biodiversity heritage site will bring funds for the centre from National Biodiversity Authority. The rich biodiversity at the centre has made state government declare it a biodiversity heritage site. Once the new-born attains an age of three, it is released in the wild.The proposal to declare it as a biodiversity heritage site was sent by the endangered species division of the forest department. LUCKNOW: If you are a nature lover Kukrail ghariyal centre will be a place to visit. It houses two of the critically endangered species, ghariyals and turtles.The ghariyal rehabilitation centre was set up in 1975 when not more than 300 ghariyals were left in the wild world over.
