KUCHING: Sarawak will usher in the New Year with a countdown celebration and the launching of its Visit Sarawak campaign. "Simultaneously, we will launch the Visit Sarawak campaign, which is very important in our effort to bring in more tourists, starting from next year," he told a press conference here on Thursday (Dec 20). Unlike previous campaigns which only ran for one year at a time, Abdul Karim said the upcoming Visit Sarawak campaign would go on for the next few years, with the tagline "Sarawak: More to Discover". Abdul Karim added that the tourism campaign aimed to attract more foreign visitors to the state, including from Singapore, China and Europe. The evening's entertainment will also include a water show, lighting up of the Darul Hana pedestrian bridge and a video presentation by the Sarawak Tourism Board.
