The actor who became a fan favourite playing a centuries-old, supernatural creature on Canadian series Lost Girl is joining the cast of Vikings. Kris Holden-Ried, Dyson on Lost Girl, has been cast in the recurring role of Viking warrior Eyvind in the History series’ fifth season, to air in 2017. The Irish-Canadian co-production is still in the midst of its fourth season, with new episodes to begin airing Nov. 30 on History. Season 5 is in production in Canada and Ireland. The Scarborough-born Holden-Ried, who also had a significant role in The Tudors, has been working on his directorial debut, TV movie The Epitaph, and developing an unnamed TV series “based on an internationally acclaimed trilogy,” History said in a news release.
