Interestingly, two former presidents, Pratibha Patil and Pranab Mukherjee, had visited Matoshree despite being from the Congress to seek the Sena’s support. Another Sena leader said the party leadership doesn’t want to make it a prestige issue. “However, the question to why [Mr. Kovind] can’t meet Uddhav at his residence, considering candidates in the past have done so?
