Hwang Suho, 37, joined a group tour for snorkelling near Hong Island, part of the Than Bok Khorani National Park. The park’s chief, Jampen Phompakdee, said that the victim was seen clinging onto a life jacket, instead of wearing it, while snorkelling. “The next minute, the tour staff found him floating so still with face down under water. Although his body was brought back to the boat and staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, he showed no sign of response,” he said. Jampen said an autopsy would be conducted to determine the exact cause of his death.
