KUALA LUMPUR: Former civil engineer Koon Yew Yin, who is noted for his savvy stock pickings, has emerged as a substantial shareholder in construction company JAKS Resources Bhd A filing with Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday showed Koon owned a 5.45% stake as at Feb 16.The stake totalled 23.88 million shares. Its share price closed at RM1.31 o Wednesday.JAKS, which is building a power plant in Vietnam, is moving away from the sluggish property market in Malaysia.Earlier in February, JAKS was one of the companies which had secured part of contracts in the construction of part of the 31.8km Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Expressway (SUKE).
