more-inKone Elevator India is planning to commission a new factory at Sriperumbudur in the first half of next year. Amit Gossain, managing director of Kone Elevator India, told journalists that Kone already had a production facility in Chennai. Construction for the new plant started last year and its capacity would depend on the demand. The domestic market size is 50,000 to 55,000 units a year and Kone has more than 20% share. At the global level, Kone has joined hands with IBM to implement an Internet of Things (IoT) project.
