Kogi kidnapping upsurge: We’ll deal with criminals in the language they understand — Govt


In a move to nip the rising cases of kidnapping in Kogi State, the government has said that it will deal ruthlessly with criminals in the language they understand in the next few weeks. The State Security Adviser, to the governor, retired Commander Jerry Omodara disclosed this over the weekend while speaking with newsmen. Omodara said government was aware of the rising cases of kidnapping in the state, saying efforts are in top gear to arrest the situation. “The administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has done much for the state security sector which has earned the state recognition as the most peaceful and safest state in Nigeria. We will not allow any group to tarnish this image.”He noted that the State Security Architecture is being reviewed for more deployment of security personnel on Highways and praying grounds ahead of the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
