The Kogi state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), said it had deployed 3000 men and officers of the command for the general elections. He said the men and officers deployed would work with other security agencies towards providing an enabling environment for the peaceful conduct if the election. He charged the men and officers deployed to be professional in their conduct during and after the election. The commandant earlier inaugurated 33 new divisions of the command and three area commands towards positioning the command and move security closer to the people. According to him, the newly created commands and Areas would complement the State government’s effort at providing adequate security for its citizens.
