Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi (File photo: TV9 Bharatvarsh)Varanasi: Dr Ajaya Krishna Vishvesha retired as District & Sessions Judge, Varanasi and hours before his retirement, he allowed the Hindu side the right to offer prayers in the southern cellar under the Gyanvapi Mosque. Not just this, he is also the judge who passed the original orders for the scientific survey of the Gyanvapi Mosque premises. Dr Vishvesha, after completing his BSc, did his LLB and LLM in 1984 and 1986, respectively. Prior to joining as district and session judge Varanasi in August 2021, he also worked as District Judge Bulandshar. Judge Vishvesha directed ASI to conduct scientific survey of Gyanvapi MosqueIt was Judge Vishvesha who had on an application by Hindu sides allowed ASI to conduct a scientific survey of the Gyan Vapi premises in June 2023.
