Knockcroghery railway station closure commemorationThere will be a commemoration event for the closing of Knockcroghery railway station on June 17 from 12pm until 5pm. The event is titled 'The Three Goodbyes', a saying attributed to the late Pat Murphy, who died in 2003. It will take place at Philip and Marina Dolan's Station House, Knockcroghery. Events on the day will include talks by local historians Dr Regina Donlon, Jim Ganly and Vincent English. As well as this, there will be exhibitions of photographs and memorabilia relating to the station, alongside school art exhibitions and numerous other events.
