Kneecap call press conference as London court to rule on rapper’s terror case

Kneecap has called for members of the press and their supporters to gather in Belfast on Wednesday, when the high court in London will say whether the decision to throw out the terrorism case against rapper Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh will be overturned. The charge was dropped in September last year, but in January the British Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) appealed against the decision at Britain's high court, with Mr Ó hAnnaidh opposing the appeal. The Irish rap trio, Mr Ó hAnnaidh, Naoise Ó Cairealláin and JJ Ó Dochartaigh, posted on Instagram on Monday to call a press conference later that day after the ruling. Writing in Irish, the band headed the post with the words “Kneecap fogra”, meaning “Kneecap notice”. “At 2.15 on Wednesday (March 11) we invite media to come to Conway Mill in West Belfast for a press conference.
